Welcome to the Eureka Police Department’s Webpage. Thank you for stopping by to see the happenings on our department and to see what we have to offer in the way of services and opportunities for our community.
The Eureka Police Department is committed to delivering professional policing to the community we serve. We strive to work in a manner which maintains, and continues to build public trust, while solving problems and maintaining peace and safety in Eureka.
I am privileged to work with the dedicated women and men of this police department who demonstrate daily that they are truly public servants and view being a part of this profession and the Eureka Police Department as an extreme honor. As with any organization, we have challenges, however, we are taking them on as a team. Finding creative solutions is a part of our organizational culture.
We are very appreciative of our internal and external partnerships that allow us to reach so many segments of our population. The City of Eureka is dedicated to addressing crime and quality of life issues, while getting our most vulnerable community members the services they need to propel them forward to a safe and productive existence.
As many of you may know, I came to Eureka as the interim police chief in January, 2022. Once I became familiar with the community, City of Eureka Team, and the men and women of the Eureka Police Department, I knew this was an experience that I wasn’t in a hurry to walk away from. I am now honored to work with these EPD personnel and all of our internal and external partners as the Chief of Police. I especially value the great working relationship with the law enforcement leaders of the North Coast Region, and the support this offers to our department and community.
I have enjoyed the countless great interactions I have had with residents, business owners, and visitors. Some great ideas have come from these conversations. I am here in Eureka to serve. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if there is something I can do to assist you. As I often say to the EPD personnel, “If I don’t know something is broken, I can’t work on fixing it”. Communication is the key. Please continue to support the employees of the Eureka Police Department as they protect this community.
We are always looking for quality individuals with the heart to serve to add to our EPD team. If this is something you are interested in pursuing, and you are looking for a fulfilling career where you can truly make a difference, please follow the links below.
Thank you and be well,
