Eureka Police Department Employee of the Month

Portrait of Joseph Couch for Employee of the Month

Eureka Police Department Supervisors are excited to announce Senior Communications Dispatcher Kylie Nelson and Officer Joseph Couch as February’s Employees of the Month.

Supervisors described Joseph as extremely hard working, often putting in multiple hours of overtime to help cover any shift in need of coverage.  This includes being on call for the Investigations Unit and actively investigating big cases.  He spearheaded the Toys For Tots theft and recovery during the holiday season, while also spearheading negotiations with the City of Eureka.  Joseph is a multi-faceted employee who wears many hats while performing his duties.  He never hesitates to cover or assist his fellow officers or other employees if or when needed and does so with a positive and good natured demeanor.  Joseph is a very committed employee who is very diligent in all aspects of his job performance.

Thank you for your dedication, Joey!
